Hats Off To My Friend

A friend in Abilene gave me the above yarn. It is mostly acrylic, some is vintage, with many great colors. There are also some crocheted pieces that she didn't want any more. The yarn is in the process of being made into kids hats for charity. In Texas the winters are so mild that a wool hat is not usually necessary, just something to cover the head & ears from the wind is fine. The hats below are knit from the yarn stash.

The blue hat is Basic Cabled Cap pattern by Judy Gibson and the green with stripes is Bev's "Josh" Beanie Cap by Beverly A. Qualheim. Quick & easy knits.
